My Greener Home believe a product is eco or ethical if it can substitute for a product you already buy or want to buy, but has one or more of the following qualities:
- The product is made in a way that is more friendly to the environment than the one that it substitutes,
- The product is made in a way that is more beneficial to disadvantaged producers and workers in developing countries than the one it substitutes (this is described as FairTrade)
- The product will have a lower impact on the environment when you use it than the product it substitutes
All of the products on this site have been chosen to cut your utility bills or offer an ethical alternative to existing products. By buying these you will be reducing the impact that you have on the earth.
